Advocate Shakhawat Hossain (Taslim), LLB; Advocate, Judge Court, Dhaka; Advocate Shakhawat Hossain (Taslim) graduated from the University of Rajshahi with a degree in Sociology. He later obtained his LL.B from the Central Law College, Dhaka. Hossain was called to the Bar in 2008 and since then he has been practicing at the Judge Court, Dhaka. His practice has included areas such as civil suits, banking, company, Aurtho Rin and succession & family matters. Advocate Hossain has also been involved in criminal litigations. He has been a junior of Mr. B.M. Singh Malay, Mr. Walliur Reza Chowdhury and Mr. Golam Sorrowar since 2009. He also worked with Barrister Manzoor Hasan in his law firm as a key member of its corporate practice.
Mr. Hossain has a varied background. He has spent some years as a trainer and researcher. He has been engaged by many national and international organizations, including SUPRO, CCHRB, Caritas, Transparency International Bangladesh, World Bank, UNDP, among others. He is currently involved in many social and professional organizations, notably as the publication secretary of central committee of the Bangladesh Democratic Lawyers’ Association, Presidium Member of the Bangladesh Youth Union and also the central coordinator of the Youth Blood Donor Bank.
